Calendar Sync Issues

If your calendar events are not appearing in Ralivi or sync has stopped, follow these steps to fix the problem.

Check Calendar Connection

1

Go to Settings

Navigate to Settings → Calendar Integration to view your connection status.

2

Verify Connection Status

Check if Google Calendar shows as connected. If disconnected, click "Connect Google Calendar" and complete the authentication.

Events Not Appearing

Refresh Calendar

Try forcing a manual refresh:

  1. Go to the Calendar page
  2. Click the refresh icon in the top right
  3. Wait 30 seconds for sync to complete

Check Calendar Selection

Make sure you're viewing the correct calendar:

  • Look for a calendar selector dropdown
  • Verify the calendar containing your events is selected
  • Try selecting "All Calendars" to see all events

Check Date Range

Verify you're looking at the correct date range. Use the calendar navigation to move to the date where your events should appear.

Verify in Google Calendar

Check if the event exists in Google Calendar:

  1. Open Google Calendar directly
  2. Confirm the event is there
  3. Check which calendar it's in
  4. Verify it's not marked as private

Sync Stopped Working

Token Expired

Calendar connections use tokens that can expire after some time.

How to fix:

  1. Go to Settings → Calendar Integration
  2. Click "Reconnect" or "Refresh Token"
  3. Complete the Google authentication flow
  4. Grant calendar permissions again

Permissions Revoked

Check if you revoked Ralivi's access in your Google account:

  1. Visit myaccount.google.com/permissions
  2. Look for "Ralivi" in the list
  3. If missing, reconnect in Ralivi settings
  4. Grant calendar read and write permissions

Google Password Changed

If you changed your Google password, reconnect the calendar:

  1. Go to Settings → Calendar Integration
  2. Click "Disconnect"
  3. Click "Connect Google Calendar"
  4. Sign in with your new password

Events Created in Ralivi Not Syncing

Check Write Permissions

Verify Ralivi has permission to create events:

  1. Go to Settings → Calendar Integration
  2. Click "View Permissions"
  3. Confirm "Manage calendar events" is granted
  4. If not, reconnect and grant full permissions

Sync Delay

Events created in Ralivi can take 1-2 minutes to appear in Google Calendar. Wait a few minutes and refresh Google Calendar. If still missing after 5 minutes, contact support.

Check Target Calendar

Events are created in your primary Google Calendar by default. If you have multiple calendars, check your primary calendar in Google Calendar to confirm the event was created.

Organization Restrictions

Work Calendar Limitations

Some organizations restrict third-party calendar access. If using a work Google account:

  • Contact your IT administrator to whitelist Ralivi
  • Ask them to enable OAuth for external applications
  • Verify calendar sharing settings allow external access
  • Consider using a personal Google account if restrictions cannot be lifted

Advanced Troubleshooting

Clear Browser Cache

Cached data can cause calendar display issues:

  1. Clear your browser cache and cookies
  2. Close and reopen your browser
  3. Log back into Ralivi
  4. Check if calendar is loading

Try Incognito Mode

Browser extensions can interfere with calendar sync. Try accessing Ralivi in an incognito or private window to rule out extension conflicts.

Disconnect and Reconnect

As a last resort, completely reset the connection:

  1. Go to Settings → Calendar Integration
  2. Click "Disconnect"
  3. Wait 30 seconds
  4. Click "Connect Google Calendar"
  5. Complete the full authentication flow
  6. Grant all requested permissions
